Yeah depression can be very tough to deal with, and also it's important to know what your doing to helping him with his emotions. What do you think that would help him to overcome the battles that he is going through? I would simply ask him what bothers him the most. Because I know there are different types of depression it can be chemical or it can be his home enviornment that can bother him even more. I would say when people are idle the most that is when they go through depression.

Hi @Rebecca61@hailanguyen1@Shaz51
Sounds like things have been really tough for your son. How are things going at the moment?
It's hard to see one of our kids struggling so much and it's great you've decided to reach out for support. I'm sure lots of our members can relate to caring for a young person experiencing depression. I'm not sure whether you or your son have connected with support but if not, you might like to try out headspace. Alternatively, you can connect with eheadspace here for a bit of guidance and support in to how to best help your son at this difficult time. Oh and there's some useful info on young people and depression here worth a read over too.
Wish you all the best with it @Rebecca61
